Gallery One is excited to celebrate the announcement of the ‘Salon des Refusés 2025’ with our artist Christopher McVinish, who is a finalist this year after having been a finalist perviously, we are thrilled is work is getting such wonderful recognition with his oil on linen painting ‘Grandstand’.
We have represented Christopher McVinish for many years and enjoy bringing his nostalgic realism works to our clients. We currently have a number of new paintings from Christopher at Gallery One.

“On a recent trip to Queensland with my wife, the artist Cynthia Breusch, we happened upon an iconic country grandstand with portraits of two football players of different codes painted on the doors of the change rooms. Walking around the playing field I felt a palpable presence within the silence there … a stillness of past glories and endeavours…the wonderful colours and textures of the grandstand standing proudly in the midday sun. I had my next subject.”
