THE SEA WORTHY APPEAL OF CYNTHIA BREUSCH
This month’s Belle Magazine (Feb/Mar) features the work of Gallery One Artist Cynthia Breusch. Belle writer Chris Pearson and photographer Nicholas Watt cover a ‘sophisticated interior scheme’ of a Sydney Harbourside property. According to the article,Interior design team at Hare and Klein sought to create an interior of this light filled home in which ‘warm, dark colours calm the space’.The owners bought the 1970’s property in 2013 and the structure was re-designed by architect Bruce Stafford whose brief was to ‘ develop a house based around an ocean liner where everyone gets the waterfront’. Meryl Hare and Eloise Fotheringham of Hare and Klein have created a sophisticated, warm and homely interior using a rich chocolates and charcoals that showcase artwork, including Cynthia’s “Natural Elements of Philosophy” which is in good company with works by Garry Shead hung throughout the house.Cynthia’s painting of soft, earthy hues certainly provides the design team with a calm visual contrast to the brilliant light of the water, streaming into the house. The painting is perfectly hung in the TV room complimenting the soft grey and tan tones of the furnishings. It is also hung to be seen from the Kitchen/Dining area, creating a interesting visual impact within the space.Gallery One has similar works by Cynthia Breusch available for purchase which will also create a similar impact in any interior space.
