Dean Home ‘Meet the Artist’ is on Sunday 24 March from 2 -4 pm at The Tweed Regional Gallery and Margaret Olley Art Centre | Exhibition Mar 22 – Aug 18

Dean Home visited Vietnam ahead of his exhibition ‘On a walk in the poet’s garden’  ( March 22 – August 18,2019) at The Tweed Regional Gallery and Margaret Olley Art Centre.

Dean Home has a deep appreciation and love for Chinese culture, philosophy, nature and art and now he is embracing the culture and unique natural elements of Vietnam with the same degree of passion. Dean Home recently visited Hanoi in Vietnam to see family and friends and reacquaint with South-East Asian traditions and culture. Dean visited the village Bat Trang, famous for its ceramics and here he met with the local craftspeople and toured the ancient ‘Dragon Kiln’.

Dean said this trip fuelled his creative art practice, narrative and subject. Dean’s upcoming exhibition at the Tweed Regional Gallery and Margaret Olley Art Centre will showcase some of Dean’s early works and some new work perhaps influenced by his time in Vietnam.

‘On a walk in the poet’s garden’ is on at the Tweed Regional gallery from March 22 – August 18,2019
